Refurb Update (April)

Hello!

Here's a wee update on how everything is going with the refurb:

We had hoped to open the doors in early May but this has been pushed back to the end of the month. We have folk booked on site the week commencing 15th May for various installs, so we definitely cannot open before then.

It will be a mad rush but we'll be trying our hardest to get back up and running before the last May bank holiday weekend. We'll probably not be able to confirm an actual opening date until mid-May. The delay is as disappointing for us as we imagine it is for you, but that's just the way of it and it'll all be worth it in the end.

It may look like chaos but there's lots been achieved already - the extension is up and insulated and framing going in for new internal walls; the 1st phase of plumbing and electrics is in progress, as is the heating system; the new glazing is going in; the outside is getting painted; and the bar top has been set in place ready for fitting. As you can see from the photo we've had to remove a lot of the stone wall that separates the original building to the extension, and this will be getting rebuilt in places to create some lovely feature stone work. Lots going on and it'll all start coming together very quickly over the next few weeks.

Thank you all for your patience and understanding.
